Coral Brush Node is an exhibition taking place in five separate parts, each part the duration of seven days in which work is screened twenty-four hours a day. The gallery remains open during regular hours, and the work can be viewed from the street the remaining hours. Coral Brush Node is a nonsensical title, derived from placing a one-word descriptor of each participating artist’s practice into the Google search engine.

Alwin Lay

Alwin Lay lives and works in Cologne, Germany. Lay studied with professor Christopher Williams at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf parallel to his studies at the Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne. His forthcoming projects include solo exhibitions at NAK.Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Aachen and ssz-sued, Cologne. and his work was recently included in Gute Aussichten - Junge Deutsche Fotografie // New German Photography 2013/2014, taking place where he was awarded the Max Ernst Stipendium.

Jennifer West lives and works in Los Angeles, California. This September, West debuts her new work, Flashlight Filmstrip Projections, commissioned by the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. West has exhibited widely in museums and art institutions, with major solo exhibitions include Vdrome (2014); S1 Artspace, Sheffield, England (2012); Contemporary Art Museum, Houston (2010); Western Bridge, Seattle (2010); Kunstverein Nuremberg, Nuremberg, Germany (2010).
Anne Fenton

Anne Fenton lives and works in Seattle, Washington. The most recen t recipient of the Henry Art Gallery’s Brink Award, Fenton is also the former Co-Founder and Director of Seattle’s Crawl Space gallery. Anne Fenton received a BFA in Photography from the University of Washington and attended the Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles. Fenton’s work is currently within a workshop at the International Biennial of Graphic Design BRNO 2014, Czech Republic.

Patrick Rock lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Patrick Rock is a conceptual artist who has exhibited internationally, in solo exhibitions as well as with the collective AMERICAN MEAT LLC., and with the post-punk trio PISS in the Sequences Live Art Festival in Reykjavik. He is the director of ROCKSBOXCONTEMPORARYFINEART, a short-term artist residency and exhibition space in Portland, as well as the Founder of Portland-based C.O.P.S (Conceptual Oregon Performance School).
